GENERAL SUMMARY
As part of the Nutritional Labelling Team, the RA Manager develops technical label copy across a broad range of corporate brand items and provides advice to the business on regulatory issues pertaining to labelling and advertising.
 
 
  1. ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Label Copy Development:
  1. Write⁄edit label copy and review circulations by effectively combining the necessary legal requirements with current business policy and industry practice.
Review and evaluate product information to ensure information supports all label claims.
Provide appropriate guidance and interpretation to the product teams and vendors on specific legal issues and⁄or technical matters.
Consult with various government⁄industry groups for clarification and⁄or interpretation of applicable laws.
Provide timely execution of projects while ensuring accuracy and quality.
Manage work to the appropriate "high level" priorities through established process standards.
Review and evaluate corporate brand advertising for accuracy and compliance.
Assist in ensuring overall brand integrity.
Manage workflow by assisting other team members during off time⁄peak times while being mindful of business priorities.
Act as a Resource for the Business:
  1. Assist in resolving specific regulatory issues raised internally or by government agencies, by consulting and negotiating with responsible parties.

Education & Technical Skills:
  1. University education or equivalent in Food Science and⁄or Nutrition.
  2. 3 to 5 years experience with Consumer Products labeling.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of the Food & Drugs Act and Regulations and other legislation governing consumer products.
  4. Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Must be highly organized with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
  6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
 
  1. WORKING CONDITIONS
    1. Working environment is favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work does involve sitting and viewing a computer screen for extended periods of time.
